Allegra Kent's Water Beauty Book

In 1976 Allegra Kent wanted to create a book that would demonstrate her unique series of exercises that allowed her to be one of the most supple and enduring ballerinas ever born in the United States. I pitched the idea to Les Pockell who liked the idea. The exercises were done in a swimming pool and I had to take hundreds of photographs, both above and below water. It was a challenge since I am a very poor swimmer. The circumstances led to some very interesting photographs, the best were not included in the book because they didn't illustrate the exercises. This was the first time one of my photographs appeared in a major publication (Time). This is now a very valuable book.
