Berenice Abbott   American Photographer (US), Berenice Abbott   60 Years of Photography (UK) and Berenice Abbott   Photographer Americaine (France) appeared in 1983. It included my text and hundreds of Berenice's photographs, many of which were captioned with her comments and remembrances. My textual material was entirely based on first hand commentary by Berenice; this was what she wanted people to know about her. The book includes biographical details but it is in no way a biography. She was pleased with the book and even happier with the show at The Witkin Gallery and other galleries where her pictures jumped off the walls. There was a limited edition of 400 specially bound copies in a slipcase, accompanied by one of four different signed images.
